Nandan Petrochem Industrial Lubricants

Nandan CUT CLG (Multi - Purpose Soluble Cutting Oil)

Description :

Soluble cutting oils have to perform various functions during their useful service life to obtain the desired performance in metal cutting operations. Primarily the high percentage of water added to the soluble cutting oil gives the desired cooling characteristics. The quantity of oil or in other words the percentage of soluble cutting oil used in making the emulsion provides rust protection and lubricity for the cutting operation. These properties can be adjusted by varying the dilution ratio.

Nandan CUT CLG is a MULTI-PURPOSE SOLUBLE CUTTING OIL manufactured from carefully selected paraffin base oils and proprietary emulsifiers which have a bearing on the clarity and stability of the emulsion. A stable milky white emulsion is prepared by adding the oil to water, with continuous stirring. Nandan CUT CLG is also fortified with appropriate biocides to keep control of bacterial growth.

Benefits :

  • Forms stable emulsion in water of 400 ppm hardness (water softener recommended for water with hardness exceeding 400 ppm).
  • Economical to use.
  • Good cooling and lubrication properties.
  • Provides good rust protection.
  • Better and brighter finish for the work piece.
  • Tools remain sharp for longer periods.

Application :

It is recommended for a variety of cutting operations on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. For general machining operations the emulsion is normally prepared with 5 % oil and for grinding operation the emulsion has 2% of oil.

Caution : Not recommended for machining magnesium as fine chips of magnesium is a fire hazard when moistened with water.

Performance Level :

  • It meets IS 1115-1986 performance requirements.
